In episode 29, I am joined by Dr Julian Agyeman Ph.D. FRSA FRGS, who is a Professor of Urban and Environmental Policy and Planning, and is the Fletcher Professor of Rhetoric and Debate, an endowed chair at Tufts University in Greater Boston, USA. He is the originator of the concept of ‘just sustainabilities, and has published a number of books and articles on the subject of environmental justice, inequality, food justice, and urbanisation. We discuss the concept of 'Just Sustainabilities' - how justice is essential in delivering sustainability.
We explore different examples of environmental justices in the UK, the US, and globally. And we discuss what actions can be taken to make more just decisions and build more just institutions.
